The FBI Does Not Need Another Don Quixote as Director
American Greatness ^ | 13 May 2017 | Brandon J Weichert

In Miguel de Cervantes’ classic 17th century work, Don Quixote, the eponymous character becomes enamored with the concept of chivalry. Believing that chivalry was dead and in need of rehabilitation, Quixote assumes he is the last chivalrous man alive. Thus, he resolves to single-handedly revive chivalry and bring justice to all.

Of course, as the reader soon discovers—spoiler alert!—Quixote is insane. In Quixote’s self-imposed quest to revive chivalry, he often confuses his arrogant urge to feed his ego with a desire to do good. Quixote is also delusional and often suffers from impaired judgment; as he prefers to view the world according to the dictates of his delusions rather than from within the confines of reality. Hilarious adventures ensue.

The characteristics that make Don Quixote such a great fictional character are terrible traits to have in a director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. With James Comey, the United States had a Don Quixote-like character running the FBI.

Ray Kelly who headed the New York counter-terrorism office. Great person. Selfless at all times.

Comey was no Quijote. People who write about this stuff should pay more attention. Comey has a long 25 history of cleaning up after the Clintons. This isn’t his first clown circus.

He's been sitting on this great idea for a Don Quixote lede, headline, and narrative for a year or more and finally decided to force it in on this story.

Funny, I had this type conversation about Comey yesterday...

They were claiming Comey was tilling at windmills trying to explain his behavior...

I was claiming he was simply corrupt...to explain his behavior...

Article is a joke. Comey is a snake, covering for the Clintons and his own malfeasance.

I see Comey as more the Sancho Panza character in Cervantes work. Perhaps well meaning but still a servant of the insane progressive movement.

You are wrong

Sancho Panza was wise, a constant voice of reason.

It was obvious that Comey was in way over his head and should be replaced when he couldn’t decide whether or not to release Hillary’s emails. He obviously didn’t know what to do. He wasn’t smart enough to know.

Long piece, but the BOTTOM LINE, and the reason for the Dems being so angry now, is that Comey’s ONLY TASK up until he was fired, was to PROTECT the Obama people from having the FBI investigate them. There was no more Loretta Lynch or others - it was Comey and ONLY COMEY that could keep that bunch out of jail.

With Comey now out, they are FULLY EXPOSED, and their only option, now, is to try to take Trump out and wish (pray) that Pence will be like Bush, much more interested in a ‘new tone’, than in holding felons in government accountable.

He knew, he was bought and paid for, excuse the cliche, by the Clinton cabal decades ago. Comey’s an insider that fucked up the Hillary server investigation because he was incompetent and unable to make a decision. The man is weak and severely compromised. He is really tall though, 6’7’ I think.

The Clintons owned Comey, period.

The author is a half-baked Clintonite.

The F.B.I. needs a director who is rabid about America, rabid in security for the nation, and doesn’t take a buck.

I’m sure that the new director to come, will have some sifting out of apathetic agents, “we’ve always done it this way types”, to instill the rabid feeling throughout the agency.

I like Sheriff Clarke’s for his energy and his leadership abilities, which will (no doubt) encourage the so-called “resisters” to smear him, smear his family and insult his dog.

What if President Trump nominates someone else, who SHOULD be non-controversial — like Commissioner Kelly — and the Dems “block” that appointment as they play their bit-parts as angry “resisters”?

THEN, IMHO, a “recess appointment” of Sheriff Clarke would be PERFECT!
