Yes, they did. I think it would have been more accurate to have said than Iran was "A" problem and not "THE" problem and far less deadly to American and European citizens than those carrying out and encouraging terror attacks in the Western world. For all the sins of Hezbollah and others that the Iranian establishment supports, they aren't the ones behind attacks like Manchester, Paris and San Bernadino.
Blaming Iran seems to be the whole point. Makes a nice change from blaming Iraq.
