FULL TITLE.......................Sharpton: African-Americans Who ‘Don’t Trust’ Trump to Protect Them From White Supremacists Increasingly Buying Guns........................Sunday on MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” host Al Sharpton said African-Americans diverse in age and gender are now increasingly taking up legal arms because “They don’t trust the Trump administration to protect them from the rise of white supremacists aggression that we have seen in the past year.”

Sharpton said “The story of legal gun ownership among black Americans is as combustible as it is complex. Some have contended that modern gun control begins not with school shootings but with the Black Panther Party for Self Defense. Who in May of 1967 legally entered the California state house, brandishing shotguns and pistols to protest a bill proposed specifically to restrict their gun rights. The visual of legally armed black revolutionaries promised then-Governor Ronald Reagan to sign the bill into law forbidding public carrying of loaded firearms. That and other incidents of the era prompted lawmakers to pass the first national gun control legislation of the postwar era, launching the gun debate as we know it.”

It’s hard for me to understand how anyone could be so dense as to take Al Sharpton, Calypso Louie, Maxine Waters etc. seriously.

Yet, there are some mentally-challenged individuals who do so.

You know, I have been to 49 states, all but North Dakota. I work for months at a time places, and I know people from every region fairly well. I go to bars and listen to conversations, and generally just wander around and observe. After all that extensive travel, and decades of observation, I have met not one real life white supremicists. That is not to say that I have never met people who have low opinions of certain groups, but that is true of all groups. I am getting incredibly sick and tired of these charlatans shoving the racism card down our throat. It seems like they are doing all they can to spark a massive conflaguration between the races. I do not see what they hope to achieve, well I know what they think they will achieve, but as long as our population remains armed, their goals will never come to pass

It seems likely that there are some "white supremacist" in this country.Not many,but some.One could certainly argue that the police should keep an eye on all such punks.One could also argue...vigorously argue...that it should be made clear to these punks that all Americans,including black,brown,yellow and red ones,have the right not to be harmed/injured/assaulted/murdered by others.

But it's my understanding that the last "lynching" on record in this country was 60+ years ago.It's also my understanding that FBI stats show that,statistically,it's quite rare for a black person to be murdered by a white person.Don't know if those stats also apply to other forms of assault.

Booker T Washington once observed that there are black people who obsessively focus on the plight of blacks in order to advance their own personal success.

I think he had Reverend Al in mind at that moment.I think he had Tawany Brawley and The Gentle Giant's heirs in mind as well.
