Trump needs to give McConnell 2 options: Either approve his tax cuts, NOW, or he sends the Paris agreement to the Senate for ratification.

Either way the Paris agreement is dead, but if the Senate refuses to act on tax cuts, they get to take the heat on not ratifying the Paris agreement.

I wouldn’t trust the Senate regarding that sham. They just might ratify it.

Senator: Fellow members of the Roman senate, hear me. Shall we continue to build palace after palace for the rich, or shall we aspire to a more noble purpose, and build decent housing for the poor? How does the senate vote?

Rest of the senate: F**K THE POOR!

Senator: Good.

some moron politicos and envirowacko’s conned the MSM to gain power by fabricating and criminally perpetuating wholly unconfirmed and groundless views.
“The MSM” - call it what it really is, wire service journalism - is inherently cynical. I put it to you that “the claim that negativity is objectivity” is a perfect definition of cynicism. And wire service journalism is a cabal of nominally competing journalists who “compete” much like the Yankees and the Red Sox - both of whom are interested in selling the proposition that their baseball games are important. Between the white lines, yes, they compete - but they cooperate in hiring the umpires and so forth. In like manner, journalists compete for attention, but they promote the fatuous conceit that all journalists are objective.

Journalists know that they are negative, in the sense that they obey the rule of “If it bleeds, it leads and also of “Man Bites Dog, not Dog Bites Man.” In a functional society, “Man Bites Dog” happens when people do not cooperate for their mutual benefit. When you cannot trust the stores to provide your needs or your employer to provide your paycheck. This means that journalists are cynical when they claim their own - and each others’ - objectivity.

In that context, it doesn’t take a “con” to “fool” journalists into proclaiming at the top of their lungs that “the sky is falling!!” That is their natural state; anyone who gives them an excuse to say that will get good press. And anyone who tries to calm them down will be criticized and condemned.
