I have not seen one good movie in at least a year and a half. Guardians II was a ridiculous story. Ridiculous. Star Wars ridiculous. What Ron Howard did to the Beatles story was terrible. King Arthur was such a bad movie I was on the edge of my seat ready to leave. The list goes on. I saw what Coppola did to the Grateful Dead story last weekend it’s hours I’ll never get back and now I don’t even Ike the dead so much anymore after that

Tge Emily dickenson movie was pointless. My kid wanted to see the vin diesel thing. I was out of there and getting passes within five minutes. It wa pornographic. The manager said I sohould be prepared when a movie is R rated. Hah. It was pg 13.

So bad

There are good things being produced. Just, not by Hollywood. For example, Italy’s Gomorrah (the TV show, not the movie, which was awful) was/is probably the best organized crime show since the Godfather (actually, I think it is better). Bloodlines was excellent, as was the first True Detective, and a number of other shows. In fact, in many ways, we are living in the golden age of visual entertainment. But the movies that are produced now, are utter garbage — trashy, juvenile, uncreative, boring, and uninspiring.

It is too bad, since sometimes going to a theater is a good break. But these days, the real quality is produced for cable and streaming.

“Guardians II was a ridiculous story. Ridiculous. “

To be fair, Guardians features a space racoon.
