Funny THEY threatened to call the cops; you should have beat them to the phone and reported a felonious act of vandalism. Would have been righteous to get somebody hauled off and booked into jail over that level of stupidity.
You end up getting the car rescued? Did the joint have to foot the bill for someone ELSE to meticulously undo the damage they did AND redo it properly?
We had to leave the car there for another week. We live 45 miles away from there. They repainted all the black stuff and removed the paint from the chrome trim.
We have never been back to their establishment, but go by there often on the way to other places.
Whenever someone asks for a good body shop, I tell them this story......................
