Trump is NOT Anti- gay.

But I bet trump has seen his share of gay drama Queens and didn’t want to deal with this for the next 4 years.

This entire business comes nowhere near rising to the status of a scandal or impeachable event. But I would have thought that even if Jesus Christ was the previous president. The added complication is that the previous administration got away with dozens of actions far more troubling than this Comey-Trump business. The political situation at the present time will continue to make no sense to a large number of people until we find that the serious wrongdoing of Obama and Hillary Clinton are exposed to legal scrutiny. Then this current stuff will become irrelevant because it is so much less offensive and illegal.

Loyalty of all government employees including the President is to the Constitution. For any President to ask for personal loyalty as opposed to loyalty to the Constitution is questionable.

According to The Constitution of the United States, Article Two, Section One, Paragraph 60 — “Before he enter on the execution of his office, he shall take the following oath or affirmation: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will, to the best of my abilities, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

I heard the hearing starts at 10:00 am. Does anyone know how long it is likely to be? Does anyone plan to run a live thread while the hearing is being broadcast?

Yes, examine the computer time stamp(s). I'd be willing to bet he has, on his laptop, attempted to “accept” all changes to his relevant “memorialization” writings in the hope that dates of changes and the precise nature of those changes will be lost.

I’d like to see a video tape of outside Trump Tower when Comey was supposedly in an FBI vehicle hurriedly typing up his “memo”.

I think it’s bullshit.

Not to mention Session’s meeting with the Russian Ambassador was actually arranged by Obama’s State Dept.

This statement is prose, not notes. I think Comey took contemporaneous notes and then supplemented his notes with feelings, amplifications and justifications from later, when he wrote the statement.

From his own words and his public actions regarding Clinton we see that Comey does whatever he wants regarding FBI rules and standards. He gave public comment on Clinton because he thought Lynch should recuse herself. But he couldn’t publicly comment when his top boss asked him to lift the cloud over his name, telling President Trump some goobledygook about maybe having to correct the statement later, a veiled threat to the President.

His justification for not telling his two superiors about the meeting that made him so “uncomfortable” was: “We also concluded that, given that it was a one-on-one conversation, there was nothing available to corroborate my account. We concluded it made little sense to report it to Attorney General Sessions, who we expected would likely recuse himself from involvement in Russia-related investigations. (He did so two weeks later.) The Deputy Attorney General’s role was then filled in an acting capacity by a United States Attorney, who would also not be long in the role.”

So apparently, Comey was a rogue FBI director, not feeling accountable to the DAG, the AG or the POTUS. All administration personnel serve at the pleasure of the President and are to fully implement his instructions and directives. The President has full and legal prosecutorial discretion to tell anyone in the Justice department to investigate or not investigate any entity. The justice department is not a separate branch of government. Anyone who does not want to do what they are told is free to resign, or the President is free to fire them.

When the HSBC bank was the money laundering bank of choice for the Sinaloa Cartel... was that on Comey’s watch there?

Good question. I don't know the relationship time lines.
