Gee how come we had a major news story that Comey will deny assuring Trump he wasn’t under investigation, and here is Comey’s written statement confirming Comey did Exactly that without even being asked?

I just read most of it — nothing there.

Not entirely correct. Comey told Trump privately three times that Trump was not under investigation. That's in Comey's opening statement.

That's the biggest take-away.

So Trump was right. Comey did tell Trump 3 separate times. Nothing burger. MSM just went limp.

I’d like a real prosecutor to go after him.

Waited to release this because Trump was getting good press this morning.

Flynn was fired because he did not tell the VP the truth. Comey did not tell his boss, Attorney General Sessions the truth and he was later fired. Pattern?

Shortly afterwards, I spoke with Attorney General Sessions in person to pass along the President’s concerns about leaks. I took the opportunity to implore the Attorney General to prevent any future direct communication between the President and me. I told the AG that what had just happened – him being asked to leave while the FBI Director, who reports to the AG, remained behind – was inappropriate and should never happen. He did not reply. For the reasons discussed above, I did not mention that the President broached the FBI’s potential investigation of General Flynn.

I guess “nothing” is relative.

Nothing earthshaking or indictable. And nothing new as all the incidents had already been described in one manner or another over the last few months.

The Third time Comey confirmed, although by silence, that Trump was not being investigated.

On the morning of April 11, the President called me and asked what I had done about his request that I “get out” that he is not personally under investigation. I replied that I had passed his request to the Acting Deputy Attorney General, but I had not heard back.

In Comey's version, Trump was this big, bad powerful man asking for loyalty and favors, as if he was a Mafia don.

Yet, Comey claims he never agreed to any such favors-supposedly as a way of showing how much integrity he had.

But, if Comey really did feel so much pressure, why did he feel he had enough power on his own to stand up and not give in to the President? He must have felt as much or more powerful than the president, and if that's the case, there really wasn't much pressure, was there?

It looks as though on one hand, Comey wants to portray himself as a sort of victim (maybe to appease the Never Trumpers, who are his friends); but on the other, his arrogance demands that he shows the world that he cannot be pushed around. So, he's basically made up the idea of Trump trying to influence him, so he can make himself look like a hero.

Good thing this guy was fired, he comes across as a real backstabber- the kind that are all over Washington.

Correct. Just slightly different words saying the same thing for the 1,384,796th time over the last five months or so.

Not that there was anything left of it, but this testimony is the tinder on which the reputation of the MSM will burn. If the Dems want to hop on the fire, then so be it.

So again, this proves that President Trump TOLD THE TRUTH to Lestor Holt when asked if Comey told him he was NOT under Investigation, he was TELLING THE TRUTH, bet that is something the Commies wont report

Comey: “When the FBI develops reason to believe an American has been targeted for recruitment by a foreign power or is covertly acting as an agent of the foreign power, the FBI will “open an investigation” on that American”

So when Obama got caught on an open mike telling the Russians he would be more flexible on giving them what they want after the election, did the FBI “open an investigation” on that American?

And when Bill and Hill took in millions for their foundation from Russian-connected interests to whom Hillary approved the transfer of American uranium mines, did the FBI “open an investigation” on those Americans?

How many contacts did Russian government officials and agents have with Obama admin figures or Bill and Hillary and their crew? Countless? Did the FBI “open an investigation” into any of those Americans?

The FBI under Comey seems to have been in the nature of a secret state police targeting the opponents of its political masters when it comes to anything political.

Why does he need to “recall” conversations he wrote down?

Because he plans to spend half the day tomorrow saying ‘I don’t remember, I didn’t write it down’, ‘I can’t recall, took no notes on it’ etc with a final ‘what difference, at this point, does it make?’

So, Comey writes with reluctance that he did indeed tell Trump three times he was not under investigation. Can we assume that Comey knows there are recordings of their conversations? Only two people could have recorded them. Only one was concerned about keeping good records and share information with others and only one was attempting to be discrete.

The best one so far was the “Trump had two scoops of ice cream, the other people had one!”

The written statement says Comey “can recall.” It doesn’t say he does, though.

Mr. Comey.....What is this crap all about. It was a typical conversation with someone Trump didn't know very well....and trying to figure you out after you (Comey) had played a card for Hillary and EVERYONE knew it.

The Card....Now THAT's what you call loyalty!!
