The most glaring questions I have are:
1. Comey documented every meeting with Trump, but never his two meetings with Obama. Why was that?
2. Over and over Comey makes a point about the arms length between the DOJ/FBI and the President that must be maintained. How come he never saw how the DOJ was used by Obama as a political force the whole time he was FBI Director under Obama. Never a peep from Mr. Clean then.
Comey will tread a line tomorrow—damning Trump while leaving no fingerprints of his own on the attempt to overthrow the duly elected President.
Funny how Mr. Pure-as-the-Driven-Snow was not worried when he overstepped his bounds to declare Hillary innocent due ta lack of intent, nor did he criticize his AG, Lynch of meeting on the tarmac with the husband of someone under investigation. No, we are not supposed to notice that.
Plus we are hearing one side of the story, from someone who already is under suspicion of being in danger of perjury, that is Comey.
The DOJ and the FBI answer to the president. If there is an arms length of distance between them, then what authority fills that gap?

Because, BO & Clinton own his soul.
He said he did not inform AG Sessions about what went on because, " We concluded it made little sense to report it to Attorney General Sessions , who we expected would likely recuse himself from involvement in Russia - related investigations. ( He did so two weeks later . )
It would be interesting to learn who was part of the senior FBI leadership team that Comey confided in. Comey says he did not inform Sessions about what happened at the meeting because he was expected to recuse himself from the investigation and then tosses in the gratuitous statement that two weeks later Sessions did recuse himself.
Comey didn't trust Sessions with the information period. Someone should ask him how he could divine that Sessions was going to recuse himself in the future and even if he did, what was wrong with giving him that information at that point?
Comey was building a case from the very beginning against Trump. From the very first meeting with Trump, he demonstrated that he was fearful that Trump was going to fire him. The Clinton debacle angered both Dems and Reps. Comey had good reason to fear for this job and it had nothing to do with Trump.
As far as the loyalty issue is concerned, I have a feeling that Trump had some inside information that Comey was badmouthing him within the FBI and perhaps the Intel community. It was Comey who was super-sensitive to the issue of "loyalty" because he knew that he was not.
