Comey is trying to say Trump criticized the FBI by criticizing Comey, the typical corrupt hostage taking language of a liar.
Why no one taking Comey out on this? Trump always said he had great respect for Law Enforcement.
But Comey is whining for his own self and pulling an Obama.
It’s pretty obvious the FBI’s been in disarray.
It was in disarray at least as far back as Reno and has only gotten worse over the years.
In 2001 we had FBI agents in Phoenix get caught working with “Tony Pacific” Elgindy who cashed out of the stock market on sept 10, 2001 after telling his broker the market was going to dive from over 9000 to 3000... the guy’s family was involved in importing muslims males from the Balkans if I recall correctly, and he was a Muslim Bro member. And they had Democrat connections. Elgindy had a stable of reporters at hand he could call to plant stories intended to manipulate the market based on what he learned from his crooked FBI coconspirators. Yet it was kept all hush hush.
Oh, and he - a young healthy guy- ends up dead in 2015.

True, if FBI is in disarray, it started long ago under the Clintons and Political Correctness. It is not a Comey thing except in particular.
It’s possible, but my distrust of the FBI specifically began under him.
I no longer trust any federal agency, and the FBI was the last one to make that list, and he is directly responsible for that.

The loyalty question is especially interesting in view of Comey’s statement that he assumed Trump would lie about anything that was said (and he thought this before even meeting Trump), but Comey obviously assumed that anything Hillary Clinton said could be trusted.
Everyone should imagine themselves in this position: If you were boss, would you want an employee who was completely hostile and assumed you were dishonest, to the point of making notes immediately after every conversation? Comey thinks he hid his attitudes, but Trump perceived every bit of it, putting the loyalty question front and center.
Notice how CNN isn’t saying anything about the fact that the Russia lies got blown clean out of the water.
