FBI crime report figures show that Alaska, Arizona, and Wyomingthree states that abolished their concealed requirement years agohave since witnessed a decreased in handgun murders.
This runs completely counter to the lefts doom and gloom predictions whereby they claim doing away with a government-issued carry permit will mean more bad guys carrying guns, more shootings and violence, etc.
FBI figures published by the NRA show that Alaskas handgun murder rate declined after the state enacted permitless carry in 2003. Moreover, in the years since Alaskas permit requirement was abolished handgun murders have declined as a percentage of the total number of murders.

*Housewives Against Guns aka moms demand (a little) action.
They know their arguments are flawed and they don't care. They want power and at the same time, curtail yours.
You can tell at least something has changed in the administration.
News like this was purposefully non existent for at least the last 8-12 years.

Perfect. The ghetto rats in those states have no idea who’s carrying and who’s not, but chances of their target being able to shoot back is on the rise - and being the cowards they are, they must be finding different ways to pay for their beer.
Some states, and I am a resident of one, have some very dangerous traps for any carrier who has not carefully studied the laws.
I don't think you should have t have such a certificate before you purchase a side arm, but you must have it should you be investigated after using your weapon.
I hope that this state passes a no conceived carry permit required and that it also applies to long guns.
This state has a real trap regarding long guns in vehicles.
Alaska Ping.

Off topic, but can you tell me what's with the extra 't' tacked onto the end of 'but'? I see this everywhere and I can't tell if it is some special code or if it is just a common misspelling. Thanks.

In every age there are those that mean to be your masters. They say they will be good masters. But they only care about being YOUR masters.
Facts?
They don't need no stinkin' facts!
Fact : Demonstrable Ignorance and slavish certainty are inversely proportional. Always. Reasoned discourse is out of the question. Emotions rule.
Trying to fertilize a rock is a fool's errand.
That’s why progressives want these requirements.

Drive down any Martin Luther King Blvd after dark and try to guess how many folks there already constitutional carry. We should be able to also.
For clarity's sake, when commenting on threads, "this state" is not as useful as the state name, or at least its abbreviation; and it's less typing. Thanks.
This Cannot Be True...!

By itself, this stat means very little.
You must compare it with the crime rates of states that have licensed gun carry, *and* the states that have restrictive even unconstitutional gun control policies.
Compared together, this will have one of three outcomes.
1) The crime rate has dropped in all three groups. Or,
2) The crime rate has dropped in the constitutional carry states and the licensed gun states. Or,
3) The crime rate has only dropped in the constitutional carry states.
Only then does the constitutional carry drops the crime rate have real value as a statistic.

Use Your Gun And a Permit
Is the Least of your Problems.
The name of my state is not important because there are probably other states just as tricky.
The sate south of us, and a very popular one for tourists, had the last time I looked at its laws a similar trap for persons carrying small arms.
The important point is that any carrier should know the laws of his own state and be made aware that he must check the laws of any state through which he travels.
All of this pounded into your head if you get a concealed permit from a capable instructor.
So after reading my post, rather than giving me a lesson on proper posting, you r time would be better spent reading up on your state’s laws.
However, since you are probably not so inclined, my state is North Carolina.
In NC, one can carry a loaded AR-15 or riot pump on the front seat in any manner you desire, so long as it is not covered.
Muzzle on the floor beside the console where it can be put into action almost as quickly as a side arm, and it is legal.
Put it on the floor in the back and it is illegal. Considered concealed.
Under the seat, illegal. Concealed. And the concealed permit only applies to small arms.
Unloaded makes no difference. Unloaded with ammo out of reach or locked up, no difference.
So you can go hunting and unload your long gun and put it in the back seat area to drive home, be stopped for any reason and you are guilty of carrying concealed even though you have a concealed permit.
Our self defense laws are every bit as tricky.because we are infested with fuzzy brained lib state legislators who would not vote for a concealed carry law unless they could stick into the law their pet idea.
The old joke about the elephant: a mouse designed by a committee.
On the website “Michelle Obama’s Mirror, they always do the double t. I don’t know if this is related, or an error.
The Founders disagreed. You don't have to 'show papers' to exercise a right. I'm glad states going Constitutional Carry are not consulting you for legal advice.
