Trump’s best defense is to drop it and move on. He won. Keep the lawyers busy defending, but Trump should move on and get back to work dismantling the bureaucracy and tax reform.
They can’t move on. Trump’s lawyer brought it up. The guy has a rep of being a Killer. This ain’t over.
That’s the thing though.
Trump multitask well. While all this has been going on he has been relentlessly neutering the regulatory machinery in the background.
Let them have their media outrage over one futile concoction after another until finally they look around and notice that the deep state has been dismantled.
Trump has never abandoned the work of tax reform nor dismantling the bureaucracy. He should definitely not drop this thing as it goes to the heart of "draining the swamp". When you have beaten your enemy down, you don't let them back up. You continually stomp their heads until their eyes bulge out. (or until they are dead, which ever comes first)
