Stunningly Clear and Direct Remarks by President Trump Toward Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | June 9, 2017 | sundance

Posted on 06/09/2017 9:23:51 PM PDT by Texas Fossil

Perhaps the least media emphasized -yet most important- statement from President Trump today was the clarity behind the President calling out the government of Qatar for being a state financier of terrorism.  Stunningly clear-eyed.

Many people have contemplated whether President Trump would identify The Muslim Brotherhood as an officially recognized Terrorist organization.  Because of the political nature of The Brotherhood, and the Machiavellian face they project toward majority Muslim nations, there is a valid argument on both sides of such a consideration.

However, the large and previously unspoken, albeit transparently obvious, truth is that Qatar has always been the primary financier of The Muslim Brotherhood.  Today, in the Rose Garden, in front of an international audience, in the clearest possible terms, President Trump said exactly that:

“[…]  I have just returned from a historic trip to Europe and the Middle East, where I worked to strengthen our alliances, forge new friendships, and unite all civilized peoples in the fight against terrorism. No civilized nation can tolerate this violence, or allow this wicked ideology to spread on its shores.

I addressed a summit of more than 50 Arab and Muslim leaders — a unique meeting in the history of nations — where key players in the region agreed to stop supporting terrorism, whether it be financial, military or even moral support.

The nation of Qatar, unfortunately, has historically been a funder of terrorism at a very high level, and in the wake of that conference, nations came together and spoke to me about confronting Qatar over its behavior. So we had a decision to make: Do we take the easy road, or do we finally take a hard but necessary action? We have to stop the funding of terrorism.

I decided, along with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, our great generals and military people, the time had come to call on Qatar to end its funding — they have to end that funding — and its extremist ideology in terms of funding.

I want to call on all other nations to stop immediately supporting terrorism. Stop teaching people to kill other people. Stop filling their minds with hate and intolerance. I won’t name other countries, but we are not done solving the problem, but we will solve that problem. Have no choice.

This is my great priority because it is my first duty as President to keep our people safe. Defeating ISIS and other terror organizations is something I have emphasized all during my campaign and right up until the present. To do that, stop funding, stop teaching hate, and stop the killing.

For Qatar, we want you back among the unity of responsible nations. We ask Qatar, and other nations in the region to do more and do it faster.

I want to thank Saudi Arabia, and my friend, King Salman, and all of the countries who participated in that very historic summit. It was truly historic. There has never been anything like it before and perhaps there never will be again. Hopefully, it will be the beginning of the end of funding terrorism. It will, therefore, be the beginning of the end to terrorism.

No more funding.

Bold Statement that we have come to expect from President Trump.

One country is named, another is certainly supporting that country who finances Islamist Terrorists.

Just about every Moslem nation on Earth is supporting terrorism. The USA is giving money to the Palestinean Authority. The Sauds and the Iranians and the Pakistanians and Turkey. 57 nations of Islam. Which one is not a sponsor of Jihad?!

People from Egypt recently opened fire on a bus load of Coptic Christians. May 2017. The army had to take power about 3years ago to rescue Egypt from the terrorist Muslem Brotherhood government. And yet the Bus load just recently was fired upon. Women in Egypt can not go for a walk in public without being sexually harassed by the Moslem Men. But yes, compared to most other Moslem nations, Egypt is a safer place.

"Which one is not a sponsor of Jihad?!"

True, but it's probably not productive to call them all out. He did say there were other countries.

Instead he called out the behavior. Stop teaching people to hate. Stop teaching them to kill. Pretty clear.

I have long wanted to hear a US president call out middle eastern countries such as Iran for their hatred, usually when they talk about Jews.

So this isn't specific, but it's probably better.

You’re right, but he’s got some rough decisions to make that will not make him popular. Saudi Arabia is the belly of the beast and we take far too much money from them, allowing them to build Mosques in the US is a huge mistake. Allowing them to fund our learning institutions and send in hand picked “Professors” to spread Wahhabism is only making things worse.

Let’s be clear, to fight the problem you must first understand the problem. There’s no such thing as “Radical Islamic” terrorism. Muhammad was not “Radical” and neither is any other Muslim. The very best Muslims are the ones who emulate Muhammad as closely as possible and in doing so killing the unbelievers is obligatory. They ALL are involved in the grand jihad in varying degrees. There will be no peace while Islam exists. It’s Teachings are not as much religious as they are political. The only way that Islam can be allowed to exist is if Muslims reform it, and it’s not going to happen - ever. First of all it’s forbidden, secondly how do you reform the perfect man which is Muhammad?
This is something ONLY Muslims can do, we cannot do it for them. Having said that, we DO NOT have to subject our societies to this barbaric belief system while they figure it out. Islam is an entire way of life and it is in direct conflict with everything that we in the West value and believe in. As long as the ideology is taught as it is today there will be killing. We cannot, we SHOULD NOT tolerate this in our society, period. This isn’t negotiable.
The people of Japan do not allow the formal worship of Islam (because it’s not a religion by the very definition of the word) they do not allow the building of Mosques, prayer in public, nor do they allow any literature that they cannot translate. They have no problems with the Middle East either, they continue a business relationship with them while not accepting their teachings or their citizens. We must do the same. We did not allow the ideology of Communism to be taught in the US, and they got smart about it. Now we have this “freedom of religion” thing that’s being used against us. It’s very simple, either we want our society to continue or we do not. And as I stated earlier, by definition it’s not a religion.
Time to make a decision. No culture has EVER survived a Muslim population of 8% without converting to Islam.

Isn’t it nice to get a clear anti-terrorism statement like this from our president, instead of a tongue-lashing that placed blame for everything on us and our “intolerance”?

Except perhaps the message did not get through. The President referred to Ga.Tar rather than the correct pronunciation of “Cutter”. Perhaps they thought he was speaking of someone else

He is not alone, it took Fox news many years before they got it right.

The bus load of Christians were fired upon by Islamist Terrorists.

Copts are good people. They totally trust President Sisi. They did and will continue to support him. He is on good terms with their leadership. He has done as he promised rebuilt many of the Churches that the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorists destroyed.

He from day 1 put down those who were terrorists, wherever he found them.

It is a big country. Yes, some elements still exist. I have a friend that I met on Twitter who is now Christian, who was not born as such. He tells me the people who did the Terrorism are still there, but they silently wait for another opportunity.

So, stability in Egypt is a product of Sisi and the Egyptian Military. They have a hugely superior track record from Turkey. In Turkey, even the Kemalist (relied on military for stability) still practice genocide. People who live there know that it is so. They claim to be a secular Muslim state, but actions are contrary. They will not normally kill a citizen just because they are Christian, but you will not see a Christian community flourish. Why? They practice cultural Genocide, but in addition, when the opportunity presents itself (like now) they will practice literal genocide.

Erdogan the Islamist is on verge of doing so now. He will unless the World stops him. He looks for any excuse to kill Kurds. Without trial or cause.

It was done before with the Greeks and the Alevi. They were not subtle about that action. And some of the Alevi (Muslims) were Kurds.

It is a blood thing with Turks. Not a racial thing but a blood line thing. Don’t let them tell you otherwise. They will simply lie about it.

Hmm.. I never heard obama speak ill of terrorists or nations that sponsor the terrorists. I bet our betters in the corrupt news media will condemn Donald Trump for speaking bluntly.

This may be a turning point in history, akin to Ronald Reagan’s “Tear down this wall”.

President Trump today:
“I decided, along with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, our great generals and military people, the time had come to call on Qatar to end its funding — they have to end that funding — and its extremist ideology in terms of funding.

I want to call on all other nations to stop immediately supporting terrorism. Stop teaching people to kill other people. Stop filling their minds with hate and intolerance. I won’t name other countries, but we are not done solving the problem, but we will solve that problem.”
