Homeland Security secretary suggests amnesty for Dreamers, implores Congress to solve problem

The Trump administration last week floated an amnesty idea for potentially 1 million illegal immigrants, looking to find permanent solutions for some of the most sympathetic cases in the long-running immigration debate.
In two days of testimony to Congress, Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly said he doubts his ability to oust some 250,000 immigrants from Central American countries who have been in the U.S. for nearly two decades on a temporary humanitarian relief program.
He also signaled that he would keep protecting 780,000 Dreamers from deportation and hoped Congress would grant them permanent status.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that 780,000 future democrat votes?
The country is hanging by a demographic thread that is fraying rapidly.

20 years for humanitarian relief? We need to make that no more than 1 or 2.
But as to the 250K, if their country of origin is not at war (and I’m pretty sure no central American countries have declared war on each other) then back they go and their governments can assist them in resettlement with all those foreign aid funds we send them.
No guilt trips or anguishing over it necessary

DACA must be ended. It has no basis in law and is a betrayal of the citizens and those who are truly immigrants.
No amnesty of any kind should be given to anyone.

I expected to be disappointed by Pres. Trump eventually. Has to work with Congress, fight the Deep State, dems and msm so he has a hard row to hoe but this would be a huge betrayal.
Yeah, hope it's just Kelly flapping his gums.

If Trump and team are looking for accolades in the press for this, forget it. He should do the right thing and stop these illegals.
To: Fai Mao; All
Yup. Kelly is condoning ILLEGAL activity. He should be arrested. Is there anyone in DC who has a clue about the Rule of Law? They swore and oath to uphold.

Trump needs to have a “discussion” with the Deep State wannabe Kelly. I sure hope this is not the Trump administration putting out “fair warning”!

Kelly is not fit for the job and should be removed.
Of course these illegal aliens can be deported. Other smaller countries have deported millions of people. If he cannot do the job, he should be removed and somebody else appointed to the position.

Definitely not!
First, the “Dreamer” program of rewarding criminals is a bad idea. Second, President Trump was elected to secure our borders. Rewarding illegals as one of the first steps in that direction is a violation of his campaign promises.
