Precisely. Just legalize the stuff. The cartels will be gone in a week. Without firing a shot, without putting troops in harm’s way. Without draining the treasury in another stupid war.

There is no pent-up demand for drugs. The same people who use them illegally will use them legally. People aren’t going to just run out and start using drugs if they’re legalized.

Until we drop “nation building” from the victory conditions we will never win another war.

Not be facetious, but if the cartels’ customers are Americans...and they pay in cash....wouldn't that make the cartels dollar rich?
Where are they laundering those dollars? Mattress stuffing....using local fences?
With all those dollars being exchanged for all those drugs....wouldn't our intelligence agencies see traces, at the very least, of currency these flows?
The Mexican drug cartel trade....stinks of US govt involvement protection and collusion with the large banks...be they JPM, HSBC, Santander, or BBVA. Follow the Money!!!!

And I thought Cruz was heading up the senate committee to repeal Obamacare. How’s that coming along. Last I heard Susan Collins was getting the attention with an Obamacaresque bill.

Rush talked about that one his show today. Sounded like they got some ruling they can proceed with 51 votes rather than 60. Also said a vote could happen over next week or so? we shall see.

Why don’t we buy up all the dope on the docks in bulk, then dump it at sea. We get a great price at the dock and think of the savings! We could eliminate half of the legal system

It’s an excellent idea, given the extent of the corruption that has pervaded that country’s government and the amount of damage their drug trade has done to our citizens.

But another benefit, as important as others if not more so, would be the inhibitory psychological impact on the bad hombres, whose behavior is the cause of the whole problem.

Crystal meth hit the US, like a tsunami some time ago. People were cooking it in their backyards, bathrooms, basements, trunks of cars, soda bottles. Lots of people died, innocents died, people maimed, addicted, family’s ruined.

I took a class, at the time, from a supervisor of a DEA ClanLab team. They had to serve warrants wearing Tyvex suits. He told a story about a deputy on a task force, that had served a warrant one day. He didn’t change his boots. He got home to see his wife and infant child, that was crawling around the house. The child ended up in the ER and died from exposure to meth, that the deputy had inadvertently tracked into his home. If you hit a house and there was a lab in it, you had to immediately get out and call the DEA/EPA and they would go thru the house, dig up the dirt, go thru the trash, etc. If you messed up and had to pay for the clean up, yourself(your PD), it was in the 6 figures range. Needless to say, departments started backing off and let the DEA handle everything.

So, states started getting smart. One of the ways they did it, was by forcing all of us to show ID to buy Sudafed. It’s a way to track who’s buying it and limit purchases. And that method works. But, dope fiends being dope fiends, will find a way.

Then, people started hitting the pills. Pill mills everywhere. In one town in Kentucky, a small one at that, there is an obscene number of pharmacies. It isn’t too hard to go to the doctor and tell them you have back pain, need to go on disability and get all the pain pills you need. Not hard to go doctor shopping, get numerous prescriptions for all the good ones and then get high and/or sell your stash. All while the taxpayer is footing the bill. The taxpayer buys a prescription of OxyCotton for someone on “disability”, who then uses half and sells half, for $25+ a pill. Well, the states, once again got smart and started monitoring the sales, the doctors, etc and started tightening things up. And, it worked.

Enter, THE MEXICANS.

Meth.....They can make crystal meth, by the shipping container load. They have chemists that have developed ways to liquify it, store it in a gas tank and then process it back to solid form, once it gets to the US. They make some of the purest meth that money can buy and they sell it cheaper than anyone can make it here in the US. They bring it over, in any and every way imaginable. Watch the move, Traffic, and the snitch will tell you exactly how easy it is to get it over. One sacrificial lamb at the border, everyone rushes over to take their pictures with a gigantic seizure, and 5 semi’s drive through, without being touched.

Heroin....Afghanistan is one of the largest producers of poppies in the world. Most probably don’t know, but the heroin addiction in places like Afghanistan and Iran, is off the charts, but of course, we’ll never know about that, because how can you justify troops protecting a country full of heroin addicts? But, all of that opium, which is then turned into heroin, makes its way to Mexico, in one form or another. And, now that pills are harder to come by and more expensive, the Mexican cartels are making more lethal heroin and selling it at rock-bottom prices. So, instead of popping pills, people are shooting heroin.

So, at the end of the day, the US is in an outright crisis right now(watch Tucker Carlson). The politicians in DC could give a damn, about it. They’d rather have the borders open, for their cheap labor and votes, than give a darn about what is happening in this country. And truth be known, I”m not at all, sympathetic to someone that gets addicted. In this day and age, it isn’t like no one knows what’s going to happen. I feel sorry for the family members that have to watch someone destroy their lives, but for the addict themselves, I don’t have all that much compassion for. Sorry.

If it takes, sending in an Infantry battalion to wipe out the Sinaloa Cartel or any other, if they’ll take a 48yr old, that is in good shape and still knows how to Shoot, Move and Communicate, where do I report. It’s ridiculous. Before military action,
REAL-AGGRESSIVE-LEO action needs to be taken within the borders of this country. The Cartels and the gangs, like MS13, operate fairly, freely and need to be designated “terrorist organizations”, intent on the destruction and overthrow of this country. Empower the LEO community to go after them, aggressively. Deport any and every one of them, that doesn’t belong. Tell the ‘homegrown’ ones that they’re getting one chance to give it up, if not, send them to wherever their allegiance is, with a one way ticket.

The Mexicans, both Cartels and Government, are ruining this country. If I’m not mistaken, there were lots of rumors that Nieto, made a deal with the Cartels, when he ran for office. Now Trump wants to grant amnesty to DACA recipients. Kelly says that Congress has to make a decision and do something about them. If the voters of this country keep voting for Ryan, McCain, Flake, Cornyn, Graham, Rubio, and anyone else that supports open borders, then it’s only a matter of time. This problem cannot be sustained much longer. Everything is intertwined, and all of it is destroying this country.

No, the real problem is the behavior of the individuals running the cartels and those working for them.

Build the wall. A high one.

And tell Nieto that the US is seizing a one mile wide, swath of land, on the southern side of the Rio Grande, which will be completely cleared of any plants, trees, bushes, etc. A one mile wide, open area, that nothing can sneak across. If he doesn’t like it, tough.

The PC posse would demand an African American Jack Pershing.

Taking out the drug cartels should be part of the everyday ops for our SO operatives.

They could get in and out and the Mexican government would be clueless.

Precisely. Just legalize the stuff. The cartels will be gone in a week.

It is way too late to make that work. The Cartels fully own the Government of the Mexican northern provinces and have made terrible inroads into the State Governments here in the US.

The Cartels control hundreds of billions of dollars. They have already diversified their activities into every other criminal activity that you can think of. That will not stop just because profits from the drug trade are down.

"Criminals gotta Crim". Kidnapping, Extortion, Murder-for-Hire, and Sex-slavery remain profitable. The people who killed their way to the top of the Drug trade are not going to change their behavior simply because drugs become legal.

It will take cross-border military attacks - with or without the permission of the Mexican Government - to reduce the power of the Cartels. Never mind a wall. Quite possibly a 50-mile wide border area (south of the US border) should be turned into a free-fire zone.

And yes, it will also take legalization of most recreational drugs.

Decriminalize murder and rape and you also eliminate some of the worst reportable crimes. “Poof,” no more rape or murder statistics!
