ormer FBI Director James Comey who was fired by President Donald Trump earlier this month apparently has asked to postpone his scheduled meeting Wednesday with Congress so he can first speak with Special Counsel.
NeverTrumper Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz, Chairman of the Oversight & Government Reform Committee, tweeted out yesterday:
Spoke with Comey. He wants to speak with Special Counsel prior to public testimony. Hearing Wed postponed. @GOPoversight”
Drudge Report noted “Comey testimony postponed so he can meet with Mueller”.

Comey met with Mueller before his testimony??? Yes. If that meeting wasn't transcribed and if he was asked any questions by Mueller and wasn't under oath, then this meeting could be considered witness tampering by Mueller.

He did need to get testimony co-ordinated. He didn’t want Mueller saying something that contradicts what Comey says. When the Truth is inconvenient it takes more preparation to testify.

It was mentioned before the hearing, I believe. But it clearly shows that this process is a sham - Comey should not have any interaction with Mueller, other than to turn over "evidence" (probably manufactured by Comey himself) that is salient to the investigation. Meeting with Mueller to coordinate Comey's testimony is beyond the pale and IMO disqualifies Mueller from continuing in this position (and I contacted my rep about this very thing, as everyone should). Mueller must go, and this ridiculous investigation must be shut down.

This was the full title: “Comey Cancels Wednesday Hearing with House So He Can Talk to FBI Predecessor Mueller Who’s Heading Russia Probe” He then canceled his testimony with the House all together and instead testified before the Senate. He and Mueller probably decided he would have gotten harsher questions from the House, whereas the Senate would be more lenient on him. After watching the hearing, they were correct. I had to keep on checking the names of the Senators. I was wondering if there were any republicans on the committee by the soft questions they were asking ( there were a few exceptions )
