There is a law that immigrants are prohibited from receiving government assistance and have to have a sponsor who accepts financial responsibility for them.

http://watchdog.org/67592/u-s-sponsors-immigrants-raid-on-welfare/

Sponsors have to sign an “Affidavit of Support” for each legal immigrant.

These notarized documents; Form I-864, are legally binding contracts obligating the sponsors to provide financially for the immigrants they sponsor.

But the federal government totally ignores the law and lets sponsors off the hook by signing immigrants up for the full boat of government welfare as soon as they arrive.

In 1965 democrats and RINOs overwhelmingly passed the “Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965” (Hart–Celler Act) for the purpose of bringing in fewer whites (Europeans) and more blacks and browns (non-European).

Previously the sponsors were actually held responsible for their charges. But since 1965 in the government’s eagerness to bring in non-whites they have become more and more lax about enforcement.

Today they totally ignore the law.

HISTORY of Hart–Celler Act

Introduced in the House of Representatives by Rep. Emanuel Celler (D-NY)

Passed the House on August 25, 1965 (318–95)

Passed the Senate on September 22, 1965 (76–18) with amendment

House agreed to Senate amendment on September 30, 1965 (320–70)

Signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson on October 3, 1965
