The parallels with the French Revolution and the "reign of terror" are sobering and scary. Like the leftist today, the Jacobin's during the French Revolution were a combination of multiple anarchist organizations that used violence in the common goal of overthrowing the established government. Although they predated Karl Marx, they were the embryo of Marxism; and like the leftist of today, they advocated freedom of expression and religion, tolerance, inclusion, etc., blah, blah, while committing acts of violence against anyone who didn't think exactly like they did. "We are for freedom of everything as long as you think and act just like us."
Excellent points.
Maybe it will turn out for some of these bastards like it did Robespierre.
