(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

This is just for people who signed up already?? Think so. I think a court has yet to rule.
To: FewsOrange
Didn’t he just rescind DAPA?

I’m not sure I even understand this whole thing. What would be the rationale for even wanting children to stay here after their parents are deported?

Why don’t we quit quoting or even referring to the nyt slime rag?
Consistently worthless.

Maybe TRUMP is thinking we can get 10% to 20% more Hispanic Votes by allowing Dreamers to stay! The Art of the Deal!

Nope. All signs have been toward this all along.

I don’t think it refers to small children...I’m thinking higher teens and early 20’s...

I’m in Texas, we see some of this. Parents may have been deported, left children here with relatives. Some children don’t even know if they have family in Mexico. I don’t have a problem with letting some of those stay. They need to become citizens like all other immigrants when they are able/old enough. These cases are exceptions.

Regarding DACA there's two issues at hand. New applicants, and those eligible for renewal. New apps are dwindling down to less than 160 avg daily. That's less than half previous qtr and 4.5 times fewer than the overall average. Trumps enforcment policies make it a safe bet the next qtr will be even fewer.
"Security Department said another program that has protected hundreds of thousands of young immigrants from deportation will remain in effect, though it did not say for how long..." "How long" pertains to those renewals and unfortunately we all know most of this group will be the first to get consideration for amnesty. Even worse immediate families will no doubt be folding into it making DAPA null anyway.

I dont have a problem with letting some of those stay. You give away my county so easily. A small dose of "cruelty" now prevents more anchor babies in the future.

Yes he did. That’s why NYT felt it had to print this fake narrative.

This is for people who don’t read critically. What Trump said is he will allow current work visas to be honored, and when they expire remains a question because the author of the piece got his political point and presented a half-truth. I suggest ‘Dreamers’ use that time to make arrangements to join their parents in their country of origin.
