Based on that picture I’m speculating. I don’t know for sure.
A woman. A woman also had the deck of the Deepwater Horizon when it caught on fire in the gulf. She froze up and did nothing once problems started.
You can guarantee there were several people on the bridge of both genders, officers and enlisted alike.
At 2:00 am however, it's unlikely one of them was the Captain.

How many U.S. Navy foul-ups does this make over the last two years? From ship to shore some changes need to be made.

Ya, went to DM to read it. That commander’s career is toast.

They should have changed course early enough to keep a CPA of a mile, or whatever is in the standing orders.
