In the wake of the Scalise shooting, Fareed Zakaria hosted a segment on his CNN show this morning devoted to addressing how Republicans and Democrats can stop their "internecine struggle" and "reconcile." Two of the guests bought into the premise, discussing the challenges involved and possible approaches to reconciliation.
But the third guest, Jill Abramson, who was fired in 2014 as executive editor of the New York Times, was having none of the kumbaya. To the contrary, she decried a supposed "false equivalency" between Democrats and Republicans.
Abramson put the blame on Republicans for the divisive political climate and accused them of "benefiting from a kind of rage machine that operates in this country."

Exactly. My brother is a lefty who lives in New York city, the liberal cesspool of the east coast. If you can believe it, he has not spoken to my parents or me since the election because we voted for Trump. Thanksgiving, Christmas, News Years, Easter, Mothers day and fathers day, no card nor a call and we were “unfriended” on Facebook. He has completely cut off his entire family.
He was never like that until he moved into Manhattan and got indoctrinated by the left, he didn’t give a damn about politics before then. Leftism IS literally a cult, there is no difference between joining a cult and being a leftist, they are both exactly the same. Truth and logic go right out the window with people like Hillary being the “cult leader”.
Now look on the flip side: WE are not cutting him off, we want him in our lives, me and the rest of my family completely respect other peoples political views and would NEVER cut off people for it, ESPECIALLY our own family, but he has no issue doing so. THAT is the difference between the left and the right. The left is completely militantly intolerant and THAT is causing a huge problem in this country. It’s crazy, it’s like some kind of metal disease going around, some kind of epidemic. Sometimes I wonder if that is true, maybe something put in food or water that makes people completely nuts when it comes to politics?

You do not win a National Election for the POTUS on ‘popular votes’ and illegal votes at that as we are finding, she lost the Electoral College Vote, and Donald J. Trump is the 45th POTUS...and they need to get over it...
Since Lydon Baines Johnson, this government has been corrupt, Ronald Reagan tried the best he could to clean some of it up, but with a V.P. Bush, he couldn't do much...and it went on from there, then we had the phony ‘foreign exchange student from Indonesia born in Kenya’ that pulled the biggest FRAUD of the history of The United States of America and the people fell for it TWICE, he set up his plans knowing that this ‘carpetbagger’ filthy, evil, vile witch would continue on, never in their wildest dreams did they figure they would loose this election...they were so far out of the American Voters they had no idea how fed up we really are...and we still are...
The ones coming up for re election had best watch what they are doing NOW because there are over 65+ million American Voters backing President Trump and we want OUR COUNTRY BACK...either get a set of balls and a spine or get the hell out of the way, and we will elect people who will support OUR PRESIDENT and OUR COUNTRY!!!
