Our problem is not the democrats. We get them. Our problem is the Republicans. They have a mandate to run the place and it turns out they would rather swim around in the swamp among the muck and filth that the democrats create.
Congress can shut this down by removing funding for this adventure. No money, no team of lawyers.

Dream on. Won’t happen. The GOPe is encouraging the removal of Trump. If they wanted to shut down this probe, they’d just announce they are getting a special counsel to examine Hillary-Lynch-Comey etc. If you watch a chess match, and the whole world sees the next “check mate” move, but the player sacrifices a pawn instead, it’s reasonable to assume the player is not trying to win. That’s where we are.

There is no such thing as a "fair" investigation. The fact of an investigation is prejudicial to democracy. It involves time and money and puts lives at jeopardy (cf. Scooter Libby or Martha Stewart) and worse, brings to a halt the fulfillment of an agenda that the voting population needs.
