Actually, He doesn’t make deals with “the devil”...He directs Satan. Satan is but an angel, doing His work (by testing people’s faith). The idea of a counterforce of any kind that could stand up to the omnipotent and omnicient Creator and Master of the Universe is absurd, at best, and heresy or faithlessness at worst.

That said, Satan has certainly been busy tempting people for the last several decades...and, unfortunately, finding out that many are all too easily tempted into sin.
