It is foolish and complacent to assume that the most effective techniques will remain forever the monopoly of one side.
So it is that the Public Theatre's production of Julius Caesar - that's the one in which Caesar is a Trump lookalike who gets group-stabbed in a protracted death scene - was disrupted by right-wing protesters doing exactly what the left does: shutting down anything they don't like.

But what if the eternally unprovokable finally decide to get provoked? Multicultural societies almost inevitably descend into coercive and authoritarian states. In the west, one sees that in embryo on American campuses, where the proliferation of "identities" - black, gay, Muslim, transgendered, intersexual - leads to a governing regime ever more inimical to freedom of speech and freedom of association.
What Douglas Murray calls the "twist of logic" necessary to sustain these contradictions eventually comes under strain. There's nothing new or surprising about this: For every IRA there's a UVF - less potent and effective, but doing as it's gotten used to being done by. It's not even worth arguing about who has right on his side: It's more basic than that - as Americans implicitly recognize when they profess to be bewildered by who's killing whom in Bosnia or Lebanon or wherever's next. If you allow society to degenerate to the point where there is less and less in common to bind competing groups together, there will be action ...but just as surely there will - slowly, eventually, belatedly - be reaction. And the most obvious reaction is to reach for the same weapon your opponent's got on you: In the

Went down the rabbit hole with Steyns website. Added it to my favorites.
The left will not continue to have a monopoly on violence. I assume everyone has a line which, when crossed by the left, will result in a violent reaction. Mine will be the less than vaguely clamored for Trump assassination.
These LibTards, Commies, and Snowflakes are going to be very surprised when they convince a majority of Good ol’ Boy Rednecks that taking up arms to defend themselves and their families is necessary. Not going to be pretty.
All free societies, both multicultural and homogeneous, descend into coercive states. Of course, there have been so few free societies that the statistical certainty has a high margin of error.
We might learn from the JFK assassination. Weeks before Nov 22, there were rampant rumors of a coup d’etat to happen in Dallas. Hundreds of right wing militia types and YPSL/YSA left wing types went to Dallas heavily armed.
On Nov 22 there were hundreds from each side in Dallas, heavily armed. But only one (or maybe 2 or 3 if you count grassy knoll and Ruby) got off a shot.
Almost all of those heavily armed conspiracy theorists did absolutely nothing. They are totally ignored in the history books, and television specials.
Or let’s learn from the riots after the MLK assassination. I lived next to the Chicago westside riot area. My job was to inspect every apartment building and small business in the riot area for insurance companies during the riot.
Guess what. Half of the fires in the Westside of Chicago during the riot were set by the landlords (mostly the Axelrod clique of landlords) to collect the insurance and finally get out of the buildings they had been bleeding for many years since the neighborhood changed.
The news media know that. But half the Chicago media are in or close friends of the Axelrod clique... the old 24th Ward Organization.
So the rioters got all the blame when they only deserved half of the blame.
Look at today’s election in GA 6th Handel vs Ossoff. The strong conservatives, Trump/Cruz/Paul/Carson supporters have been sitting on their hands (or keyboards) for years and doing nothing. They were warned the district was turning purple. They did no evangelizing to convert their neighbors. Now a Paul Ryan Republican is running against a Hillary Machiavellian and they are unprepared for battle.
