Love the A-10. Always have. I wish my eyesight were better when I was a kid. I would have been happy to fly an A-10 or a C-130. Folks say they’re ugly? Were I the bad guys, I’d say “frightening.” Nothing good is coming your way if you see one or the other coming over the ridge at you.
A half dozen AC-130’s would have put a real big hurt on FARC and the drug traffickers. Looks that the new president Clinton put the kibosh on the deal.

Just 2 days ago I was fishing in a secluded lake outside of Fairbanks Alaska. We had heard jets flying around when all of a sudden an A-10 came flying over us at tree top level...it was great! Much better than the time one without warning buzzed the deer woods I was trying to quietly stalk through. Just about had to change my shorts after that one.
