These academics love to preach income equality. OK, raid the endowment funds and forgive these loans one school at a time. Done.

And this “crisis” just happened when Trump became president? Along with the hungry and the homeless, all these individuals suddenly experience a crisis as soon as a republican is elected.

Any more I am careful to read who authors are, if it’s simply an opinion or actual news...and what does the author stand to gain by their written piece.
Bad taste right away when he wrote....that Trumps silence is deafening on student loans........done to gain attention of something the author stands to gain from.....would certainly increase the sales of his books.
Most kids who are going to college should never have been given a high school diploma. Then they chalk up $200,000 in student debt to become Starbucks baristas.
They wanted a free ride with Uncle Bernie.
Are they defaulting?
You know how to keep them from defaulting? Get the economy running on all cylinders. Then they can afford to pay them off.
I paid mine. They can pay theirs. Wife and I have a top credit rating. That’s the way it works.

I guess somebody shouldn’t have borrowed 120K to get a degree in Gender Studies.
This is new. And it's not the problem of PRESIDENT Trump or the U.S. taxpayers. This is the snowflakes' gig.
Maybe those “students” with loans will think about where that money went...ie to bureaucrats and “professors” pulling down outrageous salaries at those higher ed institutions.

Lostinbayport paid off his loans, early, at great personal sacrifice. Everyone else should do the same. I don’t give one flying flip if you racked up ninety grand in debt on a course of study involving your private parts, some real or perceived grievance, or some fiction shat out by political correctness.
Pay your debts. Eat Ramen noodles until you are seventy. I don’t care and I will not pay for your poor choices!
