We call it the ol' bait and switch, Shep. I used it myself to win a cushy job in Congress by primarying a conservative Congressman who supported amnesty. Once my seat was safe, I endorsed amnesty too! GOP voters are suckers.

I hate it when people resign in the middle of their terms for no reason. We just finally after an absurd amount of time filled the seats of the 4 who went to the cabinet and now Chaffie is cutting out cause he didn’t have the stomach/balls to chair the oversight committee.
