The crosswalks are going in permanently at Piedmont and 10th, a hub for the Atlanta LGBTQ community.
LGBT Pride Month ended Friday, but Atlanta crews are working this weekend on a project that will symbolize support for the local LGBTQ community year-round.
The intersection of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street is closed for the installation of permanent rainbow crosswalks, Channel 2 Action News reported.

This is Atlanta's gift from the mayor who canned the fire chief for quoting the New Testament's words on homosexuality in a book he wrote for his Sunday School class.

Sick to support such a small percent of the population, with this nonsense.

Wonder if there’s any law against spitting on the sidewalk in Atlanta?
Not that I really care. Just curious.

Why would gays want to make it easier for their adversaries to find them?

"Rainbow crosswalks ?" Huh? Why not Dante's 'sodomites' crosswalks?

I'm sure it's been asked, but is this legal?
I mean there are REGULATIONS for crosswalks.
White lines, reflective coating, spacing, etc.
Seeing eye dogs are trained to help the blind across crosswalks based on these rules.
If Coca-Cola painted crosswalks all red, with their logo, there would be hell to pay.

Great question.
I’d also like to know what’s become of the Fire Chief who was fired, by this mayor, for a SUNDAY SCHOOL lesson he wrote.
Did he sue the city?
Atlanta gone with the wind?

From the article....
Shortly thereafter, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed commemorated the anniversary of the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando by announcing that the rainbow crosswalks would become a permanent fixture in Midtown.

In a hard rain at night, the multi colored street crossings will blend nicely with anyone walking between the lines.

So paid for by tax payers.
But a nativity scenes etc. are forbidden on public anything.
All anybody wants is fairness and consistency, but hypocrisy reigns supreme.

Sodom and Gomorrah just around the corner. Any tax dollars in this? I would like a cross walk with the 10 commandments on it.

Spray paint them black with white BLM letters. See which way the mayor jumps.

Hmmmm
Pedestrians would get up to about #1, read it, and freeze in the street.
Splat.
