This is what happens when people like this cannot face truth and reality. And the other side will not debate! It’s now “settled science” (which itself is a contradiction in terms).
And that’s what bothers me the most. Science should be one ongoing, never-ending debate. But all debate on “global warming’ has been shut down, and shut down hard.
Hawking should explain what has caused ALL of the climate models to be wrong about warming over the last twenty years. I’d be impressed if he could do that.
Shame on the man for putting politics before science.

I think this is a pretty common tactic for “public intellectuals.”
Carl Sagan and Noam Chomsky both went down this road, as did (I believe) Stephen Jay Gould.
Of course we all know about Paul Ehrlich, who isn’t really in the same league.
Hawking is wrong about so many things:
1. Big Bang theory is bogus. (Red shift is misinterpreted.)
2. Black hole theory is refuted by quantum mechanics (energy can leave a black hole)
3. Dark matter / dark energy—disproven (failure to find via LHC at CERN)

4. Global Warming.
Has anyone questioned the sanity/senility of Dr Hawking? I mean he was supposed to die long ago. He is 75 1/2 years old.
He sounds totally indoctrinated, or maybe it is his AI computer robot voice which has taken over?
Hawkins has been dead for decades, but his computer continues to generate random words. In effect, the computer is the ventriloquist and Hawkins’ body is the dummy.
Hawking has succumbed to insanity.

Bin Laden blasts US for climate change

CAIRO - Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has called for the world to boycott American goods and the U.S. dollar, blaming the United States and other industrialized countries for global warming, according to a new audiotape released Friday.
In the tape, broadcast in part on Al-Jazeera television, bin Laden warned of the dangers of climate change and says that the way to stop it is to bring "the wheels of the American economy" to a halt.
