“How’d this guy get a column at the Huffington Post?”

July 4th weekend and the main editors are on vacation.

Is the “HUFF” seeing the light - maybe not philosophically - but developing a path to survival... i.e., not going down with the ‘FAKE NEWS” ship?

Lightening stuck twice! (Remember that really decent post by Dowd a few weeks ago)

Maybe ? they see the ‘writing on the wall ‘ and are shoring up their financial walls with some honest articles? Protecting their flanks from ‘INCOMING’ tweets?

Although a good essay, one problem I have with it is the tax cut statement.

If the rest of us are going to get a 5% tax break, then the wealthy should also be limited to a 5% tax break. They should not be allowed to realize a net tax payment decrease which exceeds 5% of their average taxes paid during the past three years.

The wealthy are paying a much higher percentage of taxes than others. And many at the bottom rungs are paying nothing. If the wealthy obtain a greater than 5 percent tax break, they are still paying a higher percentage in taxes against their income than less wealthy, and poorer citizens. The math of his essay doesn't pan out. Most of the federal income taxes are coming from a small percentage of Americans in the wealthy classes. If they are given tax cuts, they will reinvest it in the economy. A flat tax would solve all the math problems, but will never be done.

I guess HuffPost couldn’t afford fireworks, so they published this column and will settle for watching liberal heads explode in lieu of fireworks.

Trump was elected because the Democrats want to destroy America and the Republicans are content to stand and watch.
