I’m a climate scientist. And I’m not letting trickle-down ignorance win

There are two factors in planet earth’s climate: 1) the sun, and 2) the oceans. Our meager atmosphere couldn’t stop a fart. Anybody really interested in climate will study sun-spot activity, and the top ~20 to 25 meters of the oceans.

Nothing about this emotive article is convincing. Where is the science? Epic FAIL.

The atmosphere brings us weather. The oceans control our climate.

While the remnants of humanity were sheltering in refugia in Spain and in the Caucasus, three kilometers of ice covering Europe and North America melted in a short (geologic) time.

Why did that happen?

This jackass has been on the defensive ever since the hacking incident at the CRU which revealed the whole "climategate" scandal... which he seems to be an integral part of.

Well, Climatologist Ben Santer could start fighting by presenting evidence of his wacky theories to the The Heartland Institute’s Arthur B Robinson Center on Climate and Environmental Policy or to Climatologist Anthony Watts's famous climate blog.

Start by convincing these other scientists and then you'll be ready to try and convince the rest of us.

These academic parasites demand that taxpayers keep supporting them with government grants because they can’t be wrong. They believed all the fake science taught by their professors, and they can’t accept the fact that they were duped. Hopefully, they’ll live long enough to see all their dire predictions wind up in the ash bin of historical hoaxes.

Ben Santer is in the middle of the 1000 hacked emails that demonstrate scientists were cooking data to sell the narrative.

“Acid rain, the population bomb, global warming, and now ‘climate change.’”

You forgot the “ozone hole”.

The ignorance starts with President Trump. It starts with untruths and alternative facts. The untruth that climate change is a “hoax” engineered by the Chinese.

The ignorance starts with an unwillingness to admit when a hypothesis is wrong, exaserbated by environmental zealotry of Leftists addicted to the idea they are "saving the world" and perverse monetary interests like those of Al Gore and other peddlers of Carbon Credits.

By 1985 enough millions will have died to reduce the earth's population to some acceptable level, like 1.5 billion people.
--Paul R. Ehrlich

In ten years [i.e., 1980] all important animal life in the sea will be extinct. Large areas of coastline will have to be evacuated because of the stench of dead fish.
-- Paul R. Ehrlich

"It is already too late to avoid mass starvation,"
-- Denis Hayes, Chief organizer for Earth Day [1970]

[One] theory assumes that the earth's cloud cover will continue to thicken as more dust, fumes, and water vapor are belched into the atmosphere by industrial smokestacks and jet planes. Screened from the sun's heat, the planet will cool, the water vapor will fall and freeze, and a new Ice Age will be born."
Newsweek [1970]

"The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years. If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age."
— Kenneth Watt

> After decades of seeking to advance scientific understanding ...
(that should have been followed by something like)
I don't have any convincing facts or evidence I can write about to argue that we should "do something". The hockey stick has been debunked and we long ago gave up trying to use it. The models which are the sole basis of our position do not match observations so it doesn't help to focus on them. And we have nothing else other than the belief that our efforts have not been in vain and the predictions we've been making will occur.
Nor do I have any solutions to present the reader that will do what I claim we need to do and which engineers and economists agree are feasible.
So I'm attacking Trump and anyone else who disagrees with my fact-free claims of scientific understanding that we must commit to doing things that are likely not feasible.

I am open minded so show me the argument on both sides and I will make up my own mind.

You already get one side of the story at every mainstream media source. Try this site for a well documented presentation of the other side:

That doesn’t sound the least bit hyperbolic or hysterical...right!

Just the title and his “biography” of himself screams:

“I believed something when I was young, called it a ‘hypothesis,’ and then spent my entire life collecting only ‘facts’ that support my hypothesis while ignoring anything contrary to it. I’M A SCIENTIST.”

According to the Heartland Institute, this climate “scientist” scammer omitted key points in a “study” approved by a climate “scientist” group that he did a final edit on some years ago. They were:

• “None of the studies cited above has shown clear evidence that we can attribute the observed [climate] changes to the specific cause of increases in greenhouse gases.”

• “While some of the pattern-base studies discussed here have claimed detection of a significant climate change, no study to date has positively attributed all or part [of the climate change observed] to [man-made] causes. Nor has any study quantified the magnitude of a greenhouse gas effect or aerosol effect in the observed data – an issue of primary relevance to policy makers.”

• “Any claims of positive detection and attribution of significant climate change are likely to remain controversial until uncertainties in the total natural variability of the climate system are reduced.”

• “While none of these studies has specifically considered the attribution issue, they often draw some attribution conclusions, for which there is little justification.”

• “When will an anthropogenic effect on climate be identified? It is not surprising that the best answer to this question is, `We do not know.”

In my case, that one thing is to study the nature and causes of climate change.

Maybe he should have been a plumber, instead of taking on something out of his league.
