A woman is dead and eight other people were wounded — including three kids — after a baby gender-reveal party in Ohio erupted in gunfire Saturday night, according to reports.
Among the victims in the Colerain Township shooting was a pregnant woman who lost the baby after receiving a bullet to her leg, a family member told NBC affiliate WLWT.
Authorities were searching for the assailant or assailants, who fled after shots rang out at a home around 11:30 p.m.
Five of the revelers — one in critical condition, three in fair and one stable — were hospitalized at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The three children were taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Police identified the slain woman as 22-year-old Autumn Garrett of Huntington, Ind., WLWT reported.
A bystander phoned 911, telling the dispatcher she’d seen a pair of men enter the house while sitting outside in her vehicle.

Apparently when ppl get their ultrasound and learn the gender of their baby they hold a party to tell all their friends the news.
Headline made me think this was a “coming out” party for a tranny revealing he/she/its new “identity”.
You mean you didn’t have a big surprise party during each of your pregnancies revealing whether you were having a boy or girl? These are elaborate events for some and often very creative.
I didn’t either.
I can't imagine Newsman Les Nessman reporting a Story like this on the Air.
According to my Google results, this event occurs mid-pregnancy, following an ultrasound, at 20 weeks or so, with clear images. The party resembles a baby shower in that it features silly games.

Foisting this off on infants, is by my way of thinking child abuse. What they are engaged in could be very harmful to their child’s self-identity later on, and ultimately their well being both physical and mental.

When I saw the headline, I thought this was about someone ‘coming out’ with a new gender. So most of the posters think this was about the pregnant woman’s now dead baby?

No, never. It’s up with “push present” among the childbearing-related customs I completely missed.
We knew the sex of some of our children before they were born. We used the information to say, “Look, it’s a girl after two boys: we could use some pink clothes!” or, with the last one, to reassure the sisters that it wasn’t the 5th brother in a row.
We've learned in the last five minutes that this party is held before the baby is born, so it doesn't affect him/her, unless there's a shooting.
One caller said she was outside when she saw a person in a blue hoodie and a person in the green hoodie enter the home and open fire.
Starting to make a little more sense (if a senseless killing can make sense).
None of the articles even identify if it was a boy or a girl and neither counted the dead baby among the dead (just a grown woman) and only one of the victims allegedly had “serious” injury, if you don’t count a dead fetus at a party in the FETUS’ HONOR...
