He presents eyewitness evidence, largely avoids conspiracy theories though it seems like he argues for a Navy/private contractor missile test that went awry.

Assuming that's what happened, how many people in the government (or working for contractors) would have known about it?

In order to accept that you would have to believe that the U.S. military is so unbelievably, criminally stupid as to test missiles in one of the heaviest traveled air corridors in the world. What possible reason would they have for doing that?

Me too. I will never forget seeing that, exactly as you’ve described it. I’ve been telling people ever since, but with no corroborating evidence.

About that same time, Dr. Elizabeth Loftus published books on how eyewitness accounts are unreliable. She received a lot of publicity in the wake of the outcry about TWA 800. “Don’t believe your lyin’ eyes” became one of the mantras of the Clinton Administration.

And the truth of the matter is that our government has lied to us. And has scrubbed and deleted much of the true evidence that led to TWA 800.

The Clintons, this very story convinces me nothing will ever come of criminal charges against the Clintons, ever.

Just think of the poor soul, Navy I guess, that fired the rocket, "accidentally" ordered by the Clintons, who knows, but there must be some Navy veterans that can't sleep at night.

Rogue Iranians shot down Flight 800.

That was always my suspicion, backed up by the mystery "30-knot track" of the closest surface boat to the debris field speeding AWAY from it as all the other surface contacts were heading towards the wreckage.

Oh, and the FBI's lack of interest in finding this boat (it's the only surface contact to remain unidentified).

That’s the part I don’t get. Seems like there would have to be a heck of a lot of folks in the know about whatever happened in the case of a cover-up, either a accidental US missile test strike or terrorism either with a bomb or missile.

No one with half a brain ever believed the government bullcrap fantasy about a bad wire in a fuel cell.

Except my super liberal Clinton supporter brother who was then employed as an engineer on the Boeing 777, he laughed at me when I said I saw the video and it looked like a missile. He went to his grave thinking his own company had made an inferior product even though before that day and to this, it has never happened again.

That brings up another aspect to the entire cover up.

The government threw Boeing on the sacrificial altar without regard for the damage done to their reputation for quality and safety.

And there almost certainly was some sort of negative financial impact to the company.

That was always my suspicion, backed up by the mystery "30-knot track" of the closest surface boat to the debris field speeding AWAY from it as all the other surface contacts were heading towards the wreckage.

That would be the craft from which the missile was launched at the Aircraft. Some of what I have been told that I feel comfortable in revealing is that the people who did this were Iranian Military gone mercenary and that they were hired by a wealthy and influential Iranian family who had family members killed in the shoot down of Iran Air flight 655. I have been told that the Iranian government was contacted by the Clinton Administration through back door channels and given an ultimatum. Either punish the people involved, or the US would take further steps.

Supposedly the people responsible for doing it were punished by the Iranians, and the whole thing was kept quiet. This is part of what I have been told, and it can be dismissed as "speculation" with no clear link to a source, so that's why I feel okay with mentioning it.

From what my source told me, this information is known by quite a lot of people in various government circles. It would have to be with so many involved in trying to make this look like something else.

The reason people are going along with it is because nobody wants to trigger a war with Iran.

It’s curious:nobody claimed credit for TW 800. Sensational media coverage is crucial to terrorism.

See my posts on this subject in this thread. The absolute last thing the perpetrators wanted was to claim credit for doing this. It would have provoked a massively destructive retaliation, and they know it.

These weren't "Terrorists." These people were motivated by vengeance.

The only open question is who fired it.

Rogue elements of the Iranian military turned mercenary and hired by a wealthy Iranian family who lost loved ones in the shoot down of Iran Air flight 655 by the US Vincennes.

This is what I have been told by someone in a position to know. I would like to mention the rest of what I was told, and especially the evidence to support it, but the nature of it is such that it can be easily tracked back to it's source.

I hope that the actual truth of this event will get revealed in the next 5-10 years. I can't see how so many people would keep quiet about it for longer than that.

They didn't. It was foreign nationals.

Why do people keep thinking the US Navy did this? What kind of low class scum do you think our sailors are to do something like this and then try to cover it up?

No. US Sailors did not do this. It was done by foreign nationals to retaliate against the United States for shooting down Iran Air flight 655.

Now the US Military and branches of the US Government did participate in the act of covering up this attack, and too many people know about this.

Rogue elements of Iran did it. It wasn't an officially sanctioned act by the Iranian government, it was a revenge shooting by a Wealthy Iranian family who hired ex Iranian military thugs to do this.

I can almost, almost understand hiding the true cause of the TWA800 coverup....maybe to insulate the public from the danger, to keep the airline industry flying, etc...

but Waco?...Ruby Ridge?...and no one was fired or charged, instead promoted?...

there is no excuse for that...none...

we're very much on our own....

I met a guy (at an Armenian christening party, of all things) who worked for Boeing. He said they could not reproduce a center fuel tank explosion under the “official story” conditions, and it wasn’t for lack of trying.

Cherry, while I can see reason to do it, it’s a reason we should have rejected. I can find reasons not to do almost everything I need to do in daily life. That’s not how you, I, and most adults run our lives.

Your comments about no one being fired, and instead promoted is dead on target.

maybe it was just an urban myth, but I recall reading here on FR that shortly after this “incident” the Toon withdrew whistle blower protection from the Navy divers bringing up debris...

They didn't. It was foreign nationals.

That wasn't the claim. It was military or military contractor, according to him.
