I don't know what you're driving at, meaning I don't know if you wonder about how or why they worked together on this project, of how they know and have worked together from the time they met.
But even if I did know what you were driving at, the only thing I surmise is that Kramer was more or less doing McCain's bidding for this project. Maybe Kramer is a McCain office aide or something.
I know the name came up in the defamation suit in the UK, as Kramer being one of few people who ever handled "the original," which is how I infer Kramer is the person dispatched to pick it up. All sorts of tradecraft, eh? Look for the guy reading Financial Times at such and so airport (I assume at the arrival gate), "he's the droid you are looking for."
