What does Swiftboating mean to you?

Want to know what a stranger’s political leanings are? There is a simple question that may yield that information: Ask them what the term Swiftboating means.

They don’t even have to provide a well-formed, grammatical definition; rather, the answer you seek lies in the sense of whether it represents something positive or negative to them. If they respond with something like this: “a harsh attack by a political opponent that is dishonest, personal, and unfair,” which is the Wikipedia definition, then you should suspect you are dealing with someone whose politics lean left, at least to the extent that they get their news from the alphabet mainstream media.

It means Jean effin Kerry is a traitor!

American Patriots Against John Kerry

The 1970 meeting that John Kerry conducted with North Vietnamese communists violated U.S. law, according to an author and researcher who has studied the issue.

Kerry met with representatives from “both delegations” of the Vietnamese (North Vietnamese and Viet Cong) in Paris in 1970, according to Kerry’s own testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on April 22, 1971. But Kerry’s meetings with the Vietnamese delegations were in direct violation of laws forbidding private citizens from negotiating with foreign powers, according to researcher and author Jerry Corsi, who began studying the anti-war movement in the early 1970s.

According to Corsi, Kerry violated U.S. code 18 U.S.C. 953. “A U.S. citizen cannot go abroad and negotiate with a foreign power,” Corsi told CNSNews.com.

By Kerry’s own admission, he met in 1970 with delegations from the North Vietnamese communist government and discussed how the Vietnam Warshould be stopped.

Borking was misnamed.

It should’ve been named after that drunkard Dead Red Ted Kennedy who engaged in it and not his victim.

I always thought of it as loyalist American citizens trying to reveal accurate facts and information about Kerry, that would let other American citizens see him for who he really was.

The name seemed to come from him being on a swift boat, his claims of being wounded (basically scratched), and being in Cambodia over a Christmas during the Vietnam war.

The list of citations they have is rather amazing, all of them completely getting it wrong.

Pure propaganda from the word go.

I’ll hand it to the Left, when they go all in to sin, they don’t mess around. They organize, then plan, coordinate, and use every possible means to lie, cheat, steal, kill, and destroy.

That’s not a new thing. McCartyism should have a general meaning of exposing Communists

Not so much. What Wikipedia writes:

Since the campaign that the group conducted against Kerry, the term has considered by liberals to refer to a harsh attack by a political opponent that is dishonest, personal, and unfair.

In other words, that's not their definition.

Agree that the term is mis-used by the left and media (I know that’s redundant).

The term refers to publicly outing the truth to prove the lies of others.

The Swiftboat sailors showed Kerry was a farce and a liar.
