Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul/.
I can finally see the weekend! Hurrah!!
Any radio time this week?
Howdy, LUV!
Lucky you with “It was warm today, but not too bad.” It was hot, hot, and more hot here. Ugh! Makes us look forward to Fall already. LOL
Good evening, Pro...pushing 78 here today. HOT!! It’s 80 at my computer desk. 2 fans going...
Did you have a great visit? Did you win at cards?
Well, “warm” as in low-to-mid 90s. But it’s sooooo much better than the hot stuff like PRO is getting now. Ugh!
I’m lookin’ forward to fall, too! It’s my favorite season. Such a relief!
Hope your day was good in spite of the heat. Do you think you’ll get any refreshing rain any time soon?
Is that Johnny Rocket’s? I love those cafes!
It was a great visit with BIL but we were too busy working and just had a bit of time to relax, eat and sleep.
Card playing next time. Stay cool!
Now?
Now?
Now?
Yeah, low-to-mid 90s is definitely better than 100 or more but it’s still hot. Be glad you don’t have identical humidity numbers! The thermometer says it’s 77 outside right now but when I stepped outside a minute ago to listen to the katydids, I thought it was in the mid-to-upper 80s.
No rain here but it rained along the mountains just a few miles south of us. With the breeze out of the south, it just made it muggier here.
There’s a better chance for rain tomorrow but who knows what will happen? We could use a little rain now.
I just remembered I had a little excitement early this evening. I went out to toss some old leftovers into the compost pile and heard a rustling sound. Looked up and a deer and a coydog (half coyote, half domestic dog) came around the end of a line of trees just a few feet away from me. They tumbled over each other when they tried to turn to run away from me and the deer was behind the coydog from that point on. It butted the coydog in the hiney a couple of times before the coydog escaped into the corn field. The deer took a right turn and ran off along the edge of the field and out of sight behind a shed. I cheered the deer for butting the varmint. LOL!
I don’t recall it being identified.
Dang it! Wasn’t paying attention again!
WOOHOO! You were and #50 is yours .... again. LOL
How are your crops doing this year?
The corn is absolutely gorgeous this year. Fat ears on lush green stalks ... the prettiest corn we’ve had in a while.
It won’t be long before the ears are ripe and the stalks start turning brown. Then it won’t be so pretty.
The yield ought to be pretty this fall though!
As if it’s not enough to have coyotes, you have half-n-halfs too! Glad the deer got his revenge! LOL!
It’s 82 here and “feels like” 83..so the humidity is up a bit. But not like yours. I’m just glad it’s not so hot that I get branded by the seatbelt in the car. LOL!
Good evening, lightman...hope you get at least a little rain.

What does your harvested crop become, people food or other?
