“If anyone ever asks me to make a gay quilt for them I will happily oblige.”
First of all, I HATE that they’ve co-opted G-d’s BEAUTIFUL Rainbow.
Secondly, I’ve thought about how I would handle this situation, had I been asked to do something against my religious beliefs.
I would charge an outrageous sum of money for my services - so much that they’d have to go elsewhere. I’m sure legally my idea is flawed, but it might work!
“I’m sorry! Your wedding date comes up against that of my Niece. I CAN do your flowers, but I’ll have to hire more staff and charge you at least DOUBLE what I normally do, if you want me to take this on for that day. AND, my Niece’s flowers come first, so I can’t guarantee the best quality of flowers for you on that day; you may end up getting seconds and I’ll probably have to do a lot of substitutions from what you initially wanted and have paid for. And that will be 50% up front, too. Cash. Sorry.”
Prayers Up for this BRAVE woman! She is doing G-d’s Work, for sure!
I’m also mad about the rainbow being stolen! So normal people can’t have any rainbow symbols or accessories, lest it appear it’s a gay statement.
