The movie sets for "Patriot Day" still stand in an overgrown field at the old South Weymouth Naval Air Station. I walk my dog there, amid the half-ruins of Boylston St. and the Watertown neighborhood where Tsarnayev was captured. They are a silent witness to what Boston went through, as the original sites have been sanitized.

I would love to stand at the finish line at next year’s Marathon with one of those posters on a sign.
