If you look at these states, like even Maine, you know, Trump lost Maine by just 2.9%, but he won Alaska. You know, Lisa Murkowski, “I’m not voting. I didn’t come here to hurt people.” And that’s what the female Senator from West Virginia said, “I didn’t come here to hurt people.” Trump won both of those states big, big! And the senators from those states are voting against him on this. That’s not politics-as-usual.
Rush, those two senators won their states by far bigger margins than President Trump did and they aren’t up for re-election anytime soon.
Moore Capito won her Senate race in 2014 with 62% of the vote. Trump won West Virginia in 2016 with 68.5% of the vote.
