JAKARTA - Indonesia's President Joko Widodo has instructed law enforcement officers to shoot drug traffickers to deal with a narcotics emergency facing the country.
"Be firm, especially to foreign drug dealers who enter the country and resist arrest. Shoot them because we indeed are in a narcotics emergency position now," Widodo said in a speech delivered at an event held by one of Indonesia's political parties late on Friday.

At this point the death penalty for drug dealers seems like what it will take.
Now if the BP, ICE, FBI & DEA, would just get the same orders from Pres Trump.
Air strikes on the Mexican Cartel headquarters would also do wonders to stop the import of drugs into the USA.
Taking out the command and control of these organizations AND the politicans that support it in the Central and South American countries would send a message that we are serious.
Beat me to it. Looks like Duterte is rubbing off on people. Maybe Mexico should consider it, too.
Civilization will not be recovered until this is done in a number of spheres. The death toll will actually be higher without such action, when the house of cards collapses.
Thereby eliminating whatever expenses that normally would occur, saving the 'state' money.
