Do parrots repeat something after hearing it once? They certainly don’t do impressions. He’s probably just pining for the fjords.

If you don't want them too repeat it, they will.

And African Grays tend to pick up things quickly.

I don’t know much about parrots but a friend had one (I think the same kind mentioned in this story) and it did sound EXACTLY like her and her husband. It was very, very freaky.

Parrots can do remarkable impressions. My brother has a parrot, which can imitate several people's voices exactly. I was gobsmacked, when I first heard it.
