Absolutely not!! It would be nuts to get the US Navy involved.... [unless it were to quickly sink the big NGO ships that are collaborating with and enabling the people smugglers by setting up rendezvous points at the edge of Libyan coastal waters....]

No way in hell US Navy should be involved, Europe needs to work it out and stop the rafts from being loaded, stop the NGOs from promoting and enabling the traffic etc. The people need to stay in Africa/Middle East/Turkey if they do not have legal means to travel to other countries.
