The United States is a 'disruptive start-up,' according to White House’s Scaramucci

Say "disruptive start-up," and most people will think of Uber or Airbnb. Anthony Scaramucci thinks of the United States of America.

The White House's newly installed communications director likened the U.S. to some of the world's most formidable corporates Wednesday, saying it's a nation intent on treading its own path.

"This nation is a disruptive start-up," Scaramucci told the BBC's "Newsnight" program on Wednesday evening.

"It was a group of rich guys that got together and said, you know what, we're going to break away from the other country and start our own country," Scaramucci said in Washington, referencing the American Revolution.

Scaramucci, who was brought into the role last Friday following Sean Spicer's departure as press secretary, said President Donald Trump would aim to replicate this overhaul by aligning U.S. politics more closely with average American people.

"The president is bringing it back to its roots of disruption. We're going to disrupt and half the political system to take care of the American people," he said from Washington.

This guy sounds half nuts, but I love his take on the history of the U.S.

He is using the language from his world: business. Completely sensible.

A bunch of rich guys? Several were, the rest were yeomen, legal men and the like. Practical personages of the day.

I've used that sane analogy in the past.

How many more "me's" can I stand to be in the same room together ?

Contemporary imagery will help guarantee a second term AND a dupe for the third term.

Scaramucci Scaramucci will you do the fandango?

This guy is great. He’s like Trump on Crystal Meth! (and I mean that in a good way!)

Scaramucci is a fool. He was going to plug the leaks and now his entire financial records have been “leaked” and he thinks it may be a felony. Well is it or isn’t it? and what are you gonna do about it!?

No. That story is over. No leak. Public info.

He drove off a cliff in a car last night. He set it on fire this morning. Almost immediately roasted on twitter over his claim of a leak. Now he is quoting a sexual abuser about honor

At least he is up front that he and RP are caine and Abel.

Mooch may or may not be a fool, but this volley doesn't evince it one way or another.

It's kind of cool actually.

Mooch comes in an declares he will fire and keep firing until any and all leaks stop.

And, as if to taunt him, a leaker drops his (Mooch's) personal financial records for the world to see.

Someone is daring to fight back.

I knew last night this would happen. No leak. Scaramucci didnt know what he was talking about last night. Shot from the hip. Deleted the tweet in the middle of the night. Now has egg on his face.

He is absolutely accurate. We are a start up, a very aggressive start up.

I had never thought of us in those terms.

This morning from the NYTimes:
By morning, however, it was clear that the leak was no leak. Lorraine Woellert, Politico’s reporter on the story, explained that she simply requested the financial disclosure form through normal channels and was provided it by a government agency as required by federal law. Mr. Scaramucci deleted his Twitter message but posted a new one referring to a story by the news outlet Axios suggesting that he wanted Mr. Priebus investigated.
