“I want to extend my sincere apologies to those in our Scouting family who were offended by the political rhetoric that was inserted into the jamboree. That was never our intent,” Michael Surbaugh, whose title is chief Scout executive, wrote in a message posted online.
That was a break from the Boy Scouts’ earlier statements about Trump’s speech, issued the day afterward. Those merely noted that the Scouts were “respectful of the wide variety of viewpoints in this country” but made no mention of what Trump actually said.
On Thursday, Surbaugh wrote, “We sincerely regret that politics were inserted into the Scouting program.”

Actually, this would have been the perfect time for a generic, non-sincere “I’m sorry if you were offended” apology.
I love Trump. He’s willing to go right into the heart of our culture and challenge all the sacred cows that the left have invented over the years to protect themselves. If the left wants to make the Boy Scouts their battle field, good luck to them. They don’t have a chance. The rank and file of the Boy Scouts will always support Trump. If the Boy Scouts organization decides to side with the left out of cowardice, or worse, they will come out the loser. The values of patriotism, love of God, and love of family will always be stronger than allegiance to organizations such as the Boy Scouts.

So scratch the Scout oath to keep oneself “morally straight.”

So they apologized. The President’s message got out and his rhetoric resonated with those present, which is what matters.
Weak knees in the leadership of these organizations is to be expected. Replace them.
Meanwhile, MAGA continues. And neither the BSA or the Washington comPost can stop that work.
I’d like to see a poll of the actual boy scouts. I’m guessing they wouldn’t vote for this dude if it were an elected position.
Next they’ll be telling us the 40,000 boys sat in stunned silence through the entire speech.
It would be real nice if the Boy Scout leadership would remove it’s lips from leftist stinky parts. It’s gotten old.
