I have to keep telling myself what I told myself the day Trump was sworn in. I expected a rocky first year, as Trump learns the ropes.

I just pray by the end of the year, things stabilize.

Rocky. I laughed. Kelly gets the job on 7/28 and makes this major move 3 days later. Its like lord of the flies over there.

Agree, rocky first year. He had to “reach out” to some of the GOPe people (Priebus, etc) to sort of keep everybody calm. But those people do him more damage than good. So he’s finally putting his OWN people in there. But the Mooch screwed himself with his “potty mouth” last week. Can’t have a communications director communicating that kind of trash talk.

Agree.

Though I am still holding on to the thought this (and other actions like it) are part of a ‘scheme’ to get things in line.

I had thought (or hoped) from the beginning the Priebus was only hired for his ‘connections’ and when his value was used up, toss him aside.

Scaramouch may have been part of this ‘scheme’ as a way to get things moving quickly.

I still think that the Sessions todo was part of a diversionary scheme - Notice how someone two short months ago wasn’t fit to be a ‘dog catcher’, all of a sudden is being thrown up as a martyr of sorts by the people that supposedly ‘hated him’ — AND he is still there.

Yeah, I wanted to believe that his election was the hard part, and that he’d go in there after that and just blow everything away, but that was obviously just the initial endorphins talking. This election, if nothing else, exposed for all to see the depravity of the Republican side of Washington. Knowing that, I can imagine learning the ropes in D.C. is 1000x harder than learning the ropes in a maximum security prison.

I don’t subscribe to the theories that everything is part of a masterful scheme. Trump probably sees this like a startup with the ugliest roadblocks ever. Anyone who thinks their startup is going to breeze through to success is insane. Working out all the kinks and narrow scrapes and disasters is part of the process towards creating a stable, functioning entity.

I think (hope) that’s what he’s doing, and he’s just doing it quickly, because, as a businessman, he knows what BS not to string along. Will it be sorted out within a year? I doubt it at this point, but if he can get everything settled out in his inner sphere soon enough, I think he’ll start to have more successes. Man, oh man, though, does he have every freaking thing working against him in that cesspool.
