What gets me with these fools is do they think if they managed to successfully sabotage Trump we would ever make peace with them?
“What gets me with these fools is do they think if they managed to successfully sabotage Trump we would ever make peace with them?”
They have zero influence now, so they believe they have nothing to lose. We know that they don’t give a damn about advancing conservative policy. Three Senate idiots proved that Thursday night. It’s all about who controls the levers of power.

For Senators, that means their bet is that they’re less vulnerable in the primaries than they will in November by doing nothing to roll back Obamacare. Look at Murkowski - she lost her primary and still won on a write-in. She probably feels invincible from the right. McCain just got reelected and will be long dead by the time his seat is up again. Collins is from ME in which Trump lost the popular vote statewide (but was able to pick off an EV).
People like Kristol know that he has the ear of the pansy wing of the GOP, so getting them elected is his only way to relevance. That they roll over and do nothing to actually roll back leftism is almost entirely irrelevant.
