He really didn’t. A reasonable argument could be made that Trump may not have won the general election without the efforts of Priebus, Spicer and the RNC.

It’s not uncommon for a business or organization to bring in a hatchet man to do the dirty work. I’m just speculating here.

Rience resigned. He didn’t want to be around Mooch. Trump didn’t have to be the bad guy. It worked.
