I will not say your prediction will come true but I cannot find anything wrong with your reasoning.
I don’t believe Trump would have any support for martial law. And I agree it’s needed. There are plenty who should be charged with treason. But no one to do the charging. He couldn not even get a n eeded wiretap executed on McCain.
