I’m all about the Constitution and it’s many protections. Although, with some recent court decisions, it would appear that some judges, around the country, do not feel the same way. However, when it comes to the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendment, I’m thinking that they need to be modified in some way, where they only apply to American’s and others, that are NOT INVOLVED WITH THE CARTELS AND BRINGING TONS AND TONS AND TONS OF cocaine, meth and heroin into this country. Here’s my proposal.
If you are caught bringing any contraband back:
1. The drugs are identified and immediately destroyed.
2. The vehicle they’re driving will get a quick appraisal. If it’s good working order, it will be seized and sold at auction.
3. If the person is an foreign national, they are sent back to Mexico, with all the appropriate biometrics and if they EVER try to come into the US or are caught in the US, it will be a mandatory 2 yrs in prison. No questions asked. Go directly to the nearest jail.
There’s no reason taxpayer money should be spent, any longer, on illiterate mules that flood the border checkpoints every day, in the hopes that they don’t get caught up in the roulette wheel. No reason to spend money prosecuting, storing the drugs, etc etc etc., pouring all the money down the drain. And I would think, that any punishment meted out to them, by the cartels, would be far worse than spending time in an American prison.
Regardless of condition, it should be seized and sold as scrap if necessary..................

They should spend 2 years in prison the 1st time, 10 the next......................
Wont work, that is a get out of jail free card. They have an endless supply of people to use. I would rather we contract with Mexico to incarcerate them there.
They’re foreign nationals attempting to smuggle illegal drugs into the US. They have NO legal recourse whatsoever.
So you confiscate their vehicle(s) and cargo. Then you detain, ID, and hold said traffickers in detainment without access to our legal system, because they ARE NOT US CITIZENS. And then ICE/CBP will deliver them into the custody of the mexican federales.
If said individuals attempt to come into the US ever again, then they are to be summarily executed on the spot at the border.
This how you deal with corrupt narco-terrorist regimes like mexico. This will be the only thing that they understand.
If they push back, then we double down on the enforcement.
If the cartels and their federale buddies start cross-border skirmishes, then it’s US military smackdown time.
This is how you deal with thugs.
If you don’t have the stomach for it, or you don’t think it’s “politically correct”, then you have already lost and surrendered.
I don’t think two years is enough, that guy in Portland had been deported over a dozen times. There definitely needs to be some sort of three strikes you’re out deportation law.
A minimum of 5yrs room and board is a more generous offer to mule refugees. Our well known hospitality is at stake here.
US citizens in the US are protected by the US Constitution. No way should that change under any circumstances. Drugs or not. There should be no war on drugs in the first place because it is wrecking the Constitution. You propose to further shred the Constitution and limit its protections?
It is my feeling that we should put a mothballed ship 50 miles out in the Gulf as a prison with no prison guards. Put chum in the water to attract sharks. If they want to try and swim to shore, go for it. If any non-authorized boats are within 10 miles of the ship they will be shot out of the water.
Use the proceeds of the truck sales to buy fishing poles if they want to eat.
