Some lawmakers on Capitol Hill are outraged over the publication of transcripts of President Trump's calls with foreign leaders and are calling for the swift termination of whomever might be behind their release.
"Can you imagine being President of the United States, having a conversation with a foreign leader. And that conversation being divulged to the media? It's just not fair to President Trump. The person who did this may think they have a noble outcome in mind, but that is just chaosm," Graham told CBS News on Thursday.
Graham added that he hopes the administration finds out who the person was that gave the details of the calls to The Post and find out and "gets punished."

Not necessarily the phone instrument itself. Those are easily replaced. The NSA could have intercepted and recorded it or it may have been captured via a bug planted in the Oval Office. Given the volume of the leaks there is some sort of bug capturing these conversations.

Plenty of people would have had access to the transcripts, from the SecState all the way down to note-takers and typists. Any one of them could have mailed copies anonymously to the WaPo. So unless the leaker was extremely careless, he probably could never be fingered by the FBI.
Trump will be leaving the White House soon for an extended period of time so the West Wing can be refurbished - heating and cooling. Good time to implant state of the art undetectable listening devices.
